Let's get real - as mother's - we know - there's more to everyday parenting than what shoes to wear, if or if not playgrounds are safe, what veggie is better than the other - PLEASE!
Being a mother with five children - one grandchild - never - ever - were these topics my top most daily concerns while raising (and still raising) my children!
Today was my first experience in surfing the web - looking for motherly advise - and I was amazed (or shocked was more like it) at the blogging sites that people were following, and how many on each, that offered "the BEST solutions to everyday problems that mothers face - really?
Not once, and I viewed many, did I read about - "what do I do, as a single mother, about not having the money to buy my child supplies for school on Monday, because my daughter brought home a note on Friday requesting that each child bring in three, three ring binders, a large box of crayons, box of elementary type pencils (you get the point) - and if this will affect my daughter in any way?
Or, my daughter's father promised to come to her game today to watch her cheer and he didn't show - will this affect my daughter in any way?
I could go on and on but that's impossible being that this list is endless!
I am married, and now I no longer face the above problems, but lord knows, motherhood and the advise needed in today's world - I swear to you isn't what craft to make today, or which color of tutu to buy, or if cartoons will play a part in my child becoming a serial killer!
My personal opinion (and we all have one) is that mother's, whether they are single or married, would benefit from a site that actually discusses real everyday problems that face the majority of today's mother's, and I can also promise you, the majority of today's mother's do not have the luxury to worry about what color is best, or if they should fix chicken or beef for dinner!!
The "Mommy Blogger Sites" I did review was more like reading parenting magazines - and most of us know those are also based around a fancy world that most of us will never be a part of! Why not start a site that answers questions like: where or how do I get the money I need for my children, what do I do about my ex when they promise something and don't come through and I have to answer to it and deal with it - what about nonexistent husbands? - even though they live in the home? And, my kid is bein bullied - or kids won't play with my child - answers are needed for 1000's of everyday questions each mother in the real world faces, each and everyday - and those of us that have actually walked in those shoes or have been down those paths - could share these answers and so many other advise topics - mothers and children could benefit from our experiences!! This is why I wanted to start this Blogg - and hopefully others will take part and contribute too! Thanks for hearing me out! As mothers, lets share our mothering experiences so other children can have a better chance in this huge cruel world!
